Habitat: Canary winged parakeets are found in southern Florida and California in gardens, suburbs and areas where crops are raised. They nest in a birdhouse or captivity in a tree limb. They do not line their nests with anything.

Foods: They eat flowers, fruits and seeds.

Did you know?: Canary winged parakeets are members of the parrot family and one of very few species to become established outside of the tropics.
