Allosaurus

Name Means: Different Lizard
One of the biggest, most common, and most fearsome meat eaters (or carnosaurs) of  Jurassic times, Allosaurus had a 3 foot long head and powerful jaws filled with long, sharp teeth.  The jaws were also hinged, letting the dinosaur open it mouth incredibly wide.  In a dramatic fossil discovery, marks left by Allosaurus's teeth were once found on an Apatosaurus skeleton.
Lived at the same time as:  Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Camptosaurus, Diplodoncus, Ornitholestes, Stegosaurus
