Mars

Mar, also known as the red planet, is fourth from the Sun and is the third smallest of all the planets. It has manu Earth like features, such as polar ice caps, valleys, deserts, canyons and even volcanoes, but it doesn't have one important thing that Earth has life forms, even though people have talked about "Martians" for years.  Nope, they don't exist.  Probably because temperatures on Mars rarely rise above the freezing point and its air would be unbreathable even for a little green men. Mars, also has  many huge dust storms that can hide even  the highest mountain peaks, including Olympus Moons, the largest known volcano in the Solar System at Fifteen miles high. Mars, also has two tiny moons, Phobos and Deimos. Astronomers think they were once asteroids now captured by the gravity of Mars. Did you know? Mars gets it nickname (the red planet) from the iron oxide rust on its surface and in its atmosphere.  Iron oxide is another name for rust!
