Natural Satellites
Did you know there are at least
sixty natural satellites or moons in our solar systems? Because astronauts
have been able to explore Earth's Moon was know the most about it, but
we also have been able to explore other moons through the use of many made
satellites and spacecraft. We know each of the planet has one or more moons
except for Mercury and Venus, which have none. Saturn has eighteen moons,
the largest of which is Titan. Titan is also notable because it has its
own atmosphere. Jupiter's family of sixteen moons, are all very different
from one another. Of its largest moons, Of is very rocky, sulfurous
and has intensely active volcanoes. Europa is smooth and icy Ganymede,
the largest of all the moons in the solar system, has creaters and deep
grooves that stretch for hundreds of miles. Both Ganymede and Titan
are larger than Mercury and Pluto.
