The Moon

Have you ever seen the Man in the Moon?  Many people think that the dark patches on the Moon's surface resemble the facial feature of a man.  Of course what they 're really seeing are the shapes and shadows of craters, highlands and lunar seas. The Moon is one quarter the size of Earth and is held in position by the force of the Earth's gravity.  It is airless, waterless and life less. Its sky is always black, cannot travel in an airless environment).  The Moon who have landed there should be visible for millions of years because there is no wind to sweep them away  nor rain to erode them. The Moon, in fact is the only extraterrestrial object that human beings have ever visited. On July 21, 1969, Neil Armstrong was the first person to ever step foot on the Moon. Did you know?  There are at least sixty natural satellites, or moons, in the Solar System, but ours is the only one without a formal name.  It is simply referred to as the Moon.
