Name Means: Three horned face
The best known of the many horned (or ceratopsian)
dinosaurs, Triceratops ws also the largest, the heaviest, and perhaps the
very last. Sturdy built, with powerful legs, 40 inch brow horns,
and a protective bony neck frill, this 5 ton, plant eating dinosaur was
well able to defend itself against even its most infamous neighbor Tyrannosaurus
Rex.
Lived at the same time as: Ankylosaurus, Gallimimus,
Maiasaura, Parasaurolophus, Protoceratops, Pteranodon, Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor
