Name means: Hollow form
This oldest of all well known dinosaurs weighed only
100 pounds, had hollow bones, and ate meat. It was also a fast runner,
leading some experts to think Coelophysis was warm blooded. Some
adult skeletons have been found with babies inside them, which makes some
scientists believe that the dinosaur gave live birth. It makes others
suspect it may actually have ben a cannibal.
