Name means: Terrible claw
This vicious meat eater got it name from the 5 inch
long, sickle shaped claw on each of its hind legs. It would have
used these "terrible claws" to slash pe the bellies of its prey.
Deinonychus, whose tail was stiffened by bundles of bony rods, was possibly
warm blooded and probably extremely fast. By hunting in packs, it
may have been able to kill animals much larger than itself.
Lived tat the same time as: Hypsilophodon,
Iguanodon, Ouranosauruss
