Name means: Double Beam
At 90 feet, this is the longest dinosaur ever found,
probably one of the longest that ever lived. Both the neck and tail
were extremely lengthy, and the tail ws so strong that it may have been
used as a weapon. Like Brachiosaurus, its nostrils were on top of
the head. The Diplodocus skeleton at Pittsburgh's Carnegie Museum
may be the most famous fossil in the world.
Lived at the same time as: Allosaurus, Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus,
Camptosaurus, Ornitholestes, Stegosaurus
