(her_RAY-rah-sawr-us)
IMAGE
Length: 6 - 8 feet
Lived during: Late Triassic
Found: Argentina
Name Means: Herrera's lizard
Some researchers used to think errerasaurus may have
been a prosauropod ancestor to huge plant eaters like Apatosaurus.
however, when the first complete skull ws found (in 1981_) it became cler
that this was not a the case. The sharp, serrated teeth and double
hinged jaws belonged to a meat eater that was more porbably a very early
relative of the terrible Allosaurus and Tyrannosaurus rex.
Lived at the same time as: Coelophysis, Plateosaurus,
Procompsognathus
