Plateosaurus

Name Means: Flat lizard
On a period known for small dinosaurs, this plant
eater was one of the few giants. It was also one of the best known
dinosaurs of its time, and many "Flat Lizard" fossils have been found in
Europe. Possibly in ancestor to the like of Apatosaurus, Plateosaurus
probably walked on all fours most of the time, but it could rear up on
it hind legs to eat from the trees.
Lived at the same time as: Coelophysis, Herrerasaurus,
Procompsognathus
