Name Means: Ribbed lizard
Some scientist think it was an early stegosaur. Some
believe it was an early Ankylosaurus. Whatever it may actually have
been, this strange four legged plant eater had rows of bony spikes and
knobs running down its back (like the stegosaurs) and sides (like the Ankylosaurus).
It was named by Sir Richard Owen, 19 th century scientist who first coined
the word "dinosaur".
Lived at the same time as: Anchisaurus, Dilophosaurus,
Megalosaurus, Plesiosaurus
